GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :

Read the following instructions very carefully and strictly follow them:

i) This question paper contains 16 questions .All questions are compulsory.

ii) This questions paper is divided into three sections-A, B and C.

iii) Section A-Questions no.1 to 2 are Reading of 20 marks.

iv) Section B-Question no. 3 to 10 are writing and grammar of 30 marks.

v) Section c- question no. 11 to 16 are literature-textbook of 30 marks.

vi) Use of smart watch, calculators, normal watch and mobile is not

allowed.

vii) 10 minute time has been allotted to read this question paper.

 Section A (Reading)

1.Read the following passages carefully and 

answer the question given below:-

There are four major domains of the Earth- Lithosphere, 

Atmosphere, Hydrosphere and Biosphere. The solid 

portion of the earth is called Lithosphere. The large land 

masses are known as continents. All continents lie in 

lithosphere. There are seven continents. Asia is the largestcontinent and Australia is the smallest continent. Australia

is called an island continent. The part of the earth which

is covered with water is called Hydrosphere- The Pacific

Ocean, The Atlantic Ocean, The Indian Ocean, The

Southern Ocean and The Arctic Ocean. The Pacific Ocean

is the largest ocean.

The earth is surrounded by a layer of gases called the

atmosphere. There are five layers in the atmosphere. The

Biosphere is the narrow zone of contact between the land,

water and air.

2.Read the passage and answer the

The milkman’s cow was in a bad mood. It sat in the middle

of the road and refused to move. The milkman begged thecow to get up. “The children are waiting for their milk to

help them grow strong. Please get up,” he pleaded. He

pulled and tugged and prayed. But the cow wasn’t going

anywhere that day. Along came a policeman, his buttons

and buckles gleaming bright. “Humph,” he said, twirling his

long moustache, “I’ll show you how to do it right. ”The

policeman and the milkman pulled and tugged and prayed.

But the cow wasn’t going anywhere that day.Along came a

grocer with bags of potatoes and peas. He said, “I’ll move

this cow with the greatest of ease.” The grocer, the

policeman and the milkman pulled and tugged and prayed.

But the cow wasn’t going anywhere that day. Along came

a wrestler, his muscles gleaming in the sun. He said, “I

have the strength of ten horses, so this should be fun.”

The wrestler, the grocer, the policeman and the milkman
