Components of environment||write a short of biotic components

 BIOTIC COMPONENTS

Definition biotic components?

an ecosystem is made up of two primary components- Abiotic Components and Biotic Components. Biotic factors or components are living components that shape the ecosystem and have an effect on the organisms within it. Thus an ecosystem includes biotic factors like plants, animals and microorganisms, and abiotic factors like water, land and air.

Producers:They depends on other plants for their food requirements. Green plants are producers.

Scavenger:These dead animal eaters are called scavenger.e.g. hyena, vulture, etc.

Decomposers:The microorganisms which feed on the deed bodies of plants and animals decompose them into simpler substances are called Decomposers. e.g.bacteria and fungi.

Recycling of nutrients:The nutrients released from dead bodies by the action of scavenger and Decomposers, get mixed with the soil and are again absorbed by the plants. This process is called recycling of nutrients.

Consumers:Organisms which cannot produce their own food, need to eat other organisms as food. These organisms are called consumers. consumers are called heterotrophs.

Types of Consumers:-

1)Herbivores:Animals which eat plants or plant products. e.g.Cattle, deer, goat.

2)Carnivorous:Animals that eat other animals. e.g.lion,tiger,frog.

3)Omnivorous: Animals that eat both plants and animals. e.g.humans being, dog, crow.

Answer these question:

1)what do you mean by Decomposers?

2)what is difference between scavenger and carnivorous?

3)Definition Herbivores?Give three examples?

4)Explain all the biotic components?

5)why are consumers also called heterotrophs?

Answer:

1)Organisms that degrade the dead remains of plants and animals is called Decomposers.

2)Scavenger:There are many creature in nature that feed on the bodies of dead plants and animals. e.g.hyena.

Carnivorous:Animals that eat other animals. e.g.lion.

3)Animals which eat plants or plant products is called herbivores. e.g.deer,rat,goat.

4)Abiotic Components and Biotic Components.

Consumers:Organisms which cannot produce their own food, need to eat other organisms as food. These organisms are called consumers. consumers are called heterotrophs.

5)Consumers are also called heterotrophs because all animals are consumers as they cannot produce their own food.

What are magnet? |Fun with magnets| Types of magnets

Discovery of magnets Magnets were probably discovered by greeks about 2500 years ago. According to a legend, a shepherd boy named magnes living in greece. One day he noticed that the iron tip of his stick got stuck to a large black Rock. This black Rock was named magnetite after magnes. It is also said that magnets were first discovered in magnesia.        What are magnets?  A magnet is a material that attracts iron objects having iron.  Magnetic material Materials that get attracted towards a magnet are called magnetic materials. E. g. Iron, nickel, cobalt.  Non-magnetic material Materials which do not  get attracted towards a magnet are called non-magnetic materials. E. g wood, cotton, leather, plastic, etc.         Types of magnets Naturally occurring magnets are natural magnets. E. g magnetite.  Considering the usefulness  of magnets, they are now made artificially. Artificial magnets are man-made by u...
